Veterinarian — Small Animals

We are seeking a Small Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established and reputable veterinary hospital in the Phillipsburg, NJ region. The ideal candidate is compassionate, highly skilled, and passionate about providing outstanding medical care to companion animals.

You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment where medical excellence, client communication, and preventive care are core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams, diagnostics, and treatments for dogs and cats

• Provide urgent/emergency care as scheduled

• Perform general surgery & dentistry procedures (routine to intermediate)

• Interpret laboratory and imaging results (X-rays, ultrasound, etc.)

• Communicate treatment plans clearly to pet owners

• Collaborate with technicians and support staff

• Maintain comprehensive medical records

• Participate in ongoing medical training and CE initiatives

✔ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD)
✔ Active NJ veterinary license (or eligible/transfer in process)
✔ Proven experience treating small animals
✔ Flexible schedule and ability to cover emergency shifts when needed
✔ Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills
✔ Excellent communication and client-education abilities
✔ U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship available)

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in busy general practice or emergency setting

• Strong surgical and dental abilities

• Additional certifications (AVMA, NAVC, VIN, Fear Free, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

💲 Base Salary: $200,000 – $300,000/year
📈 Performance-based bonus/commission incentives
