The Opportunity
We are looking for a 6-months intern to join our development A-team as of October 2025. In this internship, you will work within the verification team on cutting-edge robot testing methodologies, which offers you the possibility to experience and contribute to various development and production aspects of our systems.
We ensure that our robots and their mechatronic sub-systems meet the necessary functionality and safety standards to be deployed autonomously for industrial inspection missions.

Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and all related ANYbotics electrical hardware.
Your Contributions
Design and develop novel infrastructures for robotics testing
Perform various tests on full robot platforms as well as bench tests of robots sub-systems
Your Profile
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mechanical, electrical engineering or related fields
Basic experience in designing and executing experiments, involving sensors and mechatronic systems is desired
Experience with CAD softwares
Good programming experience with python
Hands-on attitude
Ability to work autonomously in a team and to contribute to the development of new testing methodologies
Good communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
Bonus Points
Basic understanding of thermodynamics
Experience with building and programming microcontroller kits
Experience with ROS
Basic programming experience with C++
