The Vendor Oversight Lead is responsible for ensuring CMG’s servicing vendor network is both well supported by CMG, as well as held to the highest standards, ensuring seamless, risk averse processes for all areas in which a vendor is necessary within the servicing organization.

The Vendor Oversight Lead is responsible for overseeing third party vendors that provide essential functions in mortgage servicing and ensures that all vendors meet regulatory, contractual, and performance standards.  

 

This position reports to the Head of Vendor Oversight.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Assists with the buildout of the CMG’s Servicing Vendor Management Program
  • Participates in vendor implementation process, ensuring all requirements from vendor and CMG are met timely.
  • Conducts/oversees regular vendor meetings (either in person or remote) to discuss performance, issues, open items, etc.
  • Produces vendor scorecards.
  • Assists in annual review of each vendor to assess vendor’s annual performance, financial position, business continuity and value alignment to CMG. 
  • Establishes vendor escalation channel for each vendor including CMG to Vendor escalations and vice versa, for each servicing vendor.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen vendor oversight and borrower protection.
  • Monitor adherence to investor/agency and compliance servicing guidelines.
  • Conducts assessments of regulatory changes and vendors’ incorporation/compliance plan
  • Manages vendor termination/wind down plans as deemed necessary.
  • Accepts other projects and assignments as needed without discord.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5 years of prior vendor implementation and/or vendor management experience is required
  • 3+ years of experience in mortgage or other financial services industry technology is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to a diverse audience (technical, non-technical)

 

NOT REQUIRED BUT NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with LoanServ strongly preferred

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.

 

CMG pays a competitive salary which ranges from $90,000 to $120,000. Factors that affect salary may include: Servicing experience, overall knowledge of mortgage servicing industry, number of years worked in mortgage industry, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage customer's, and education.
