What you’ll be doing

As part of our newly established VAT Team, you’ll play a key role in a transformation initiative, helping Karo streamline and strengthen VAT compliance across Europe. This is a hands-on role with real opportunity to make an impact from day one.

• Perform VAT reporting across multiple European jurisdictions
• Manage VAT reconciliations, Intrastat reporting, and data accuracy
• Communicate with tax authorities to facilitate refunds, audits, and inquiries (in collaboration with advisors when required)
• Collaborate with global finance functions as well as local finance teams and external advisors
• Contribute to our VAT Transformation project, including the implementation of new VAT compliance software
• Managing VAT compliance software as well as overseeing and reconciling integrations between systems.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a multi-country or international setup
• Knowledge of VAT reporting and compliance across EU
• Strong system proficiency including Excel (data handling, macros)
• A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Experience working in ERP systems
• Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, with excellent teamwork skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Any other European language is a plus.
• University degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or related fields
