We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative UX Designer capable of researching, developing, validating and executing experience strategies across teams, initiatives and channels to ultimately deliver a world-class print-on-demand fabric and wallpaper online shopping experience. 
 
The ideal candidate is willing to be a hands-on generalist and have demonstrated strong UX design in e-commerce, plus experience in user research methodologies. The candidate will play a role in designing the e-commerce experiences for Spoonflower.com and internal systems. The role will also include experience strategy and research as needed. This role will report to the Senior UX Designer for Spoonflower.com and collaborate with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders and our end users, to deliver high-quality UX thinking, research and design & production work that meets user needs while balancing business and technology goals.  
  
What You’ll Do Here:  
  
  • Support the evolution of the e-commerce website through high-quality production design and UX execution  
  • Build and publish new pages within Contentful using established design system components and templates  
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior UX Designer, e-commerce team, product, and engineering partners to execute approved UX strategies  
  • Generate design variations for A/B and multivariate testing initiatives  
  • Apply UX best practices, accessibility standards (WCAG), and inclusive design principles in executional work  
  • Evaluate when new components may be required and partner with the Senior UX Designer to define and refine them  
  • Contribute to thecreation and maintenance of the Figma component library  
  • Present work to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while aligning to established UX strategy  
  • QA implemented designs to ensure visual and functional accuracy  
  
The Skills You’ll Bring:  
 
  • 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design, digital design, or UX/UI design          
  • Strong production skills and attention to detail  
  • Experience workingwithin CMS platforms (Contentful experience preferred)  
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with component-based design systems  
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodology and UX best practices  
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design  
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and receive creative direction  
  • Strong visual design fundamentals (layout, typography, hierarchy, consistency)  
  
Preferred Qualifications:  
  
  • Experience supporting website redesigns in a production capacity  
  • Familiarity with agile workflows and experimentation frameworks  
  • Interest in growing deeper UX strategy skills over time  
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills  
  • Familiarity and comfort using tools like Figma, Jira, and Confluence  
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.

California : [$90,000 - $127,250]

Connecticut and New York: [$90,000 - $116,250]

Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$90,000 - $107,750]

Nevada: [$84,500 - $116,250]

Maryland and New Jersey: [$97,000 - $116,250]

Hawaii : [$84,500 – $101,250]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
