Build something people love Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with 3+ million users who trust us with more than $100 billion in assets. And we’re just getting started. We’re looking for someone who thinks big, sweats the small stuff and keeps things simple. You’ll join a high-bar, fast-paced team where people are trusted to own their work, communicate openly, and ship things that improve our clients’ lives. Collaboration, humility, and an obsession over quality are how we get stuff done. About the team: At Wealthsimple, design is a competitive advantage and essential to our mission. On the Marketing & Dotcom team, we craft the first experiences clients have with Wealthsimple — from our homepage to product pages, landing pages, onboarding funnels, and educational content. We blend UX, brand, and data-driven experimentation to help millions understand, trust, and choose Wealthsimple. We’re looking for a passionate UX designer who will elevate our dotcom experience, champion user-centric decision making, and partner closely with content, engineering, SEO, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional, high-impact web experiences. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Bring creative ideas to life alongside designers, writers, marketers, and engineers
  • Having a clear understanding of the product/problem and being able to translate design decisions into strong rationales and communicating across channels
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, intuitive, accessible web experiences
  • Apply systems thinking to scale design across CMS components and design systems
  • Conduct research and leverage analytics to deeply understand client needs and demonstrate user-driven decision making
  • Continuously improve the quality and performance of dotcom through thoughtful UX, strong visuals, and experimentation
  • Work closely with engineering partners to deliver high-quality solutions quickly and reliably
  • Apply systems thinking to scale design across CMS components and design systems
  • Contribute to evolving our website design system with a marketing lens
  • Create engaging visual and interaction design (motion skills are an asset) that strengthens Wealthsimple’s brand
  • Work autonomously and proactively to drive projects from concept through polished production
  • What you’ll bring:
  • Experience designing consumer-facing web pages or marketing websites at scale
  • Strong UX, visual design, and product thinking, with a portfolio showcasing polished, user-centric web work
  • Ability to turn complex problems into simple, intuitive solutions
  • Experience with web design systems, CMS-driven workflows, and scalable patterns
  • Strong understanding of how design, product, engineering, and marketing collaborate to ship high-quality experiences quickly
  • Comfort working with data, research insights, testing tools, and experimentation (e.g., A/B tests, heatmaps, analytics)
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and collaboratively with cross-functional partners
  • Experience generating user insight through research planning and execution
  • A bias toward action — you can work independently and move projects forward with clarity and confidence
  • A genuine interest in personal finance and the opportunity to make financial services simple and accessible for everyone
  • Comfortable iterating at speed and developing multiple solutions to support creative decision-making
  • If you’re excited to be part of Wealthsimple's mission, please apply with your resume and a portfolio that demonstrate:
  • Your experience solving ambiguous problems & how you got there
  • Your experience working on consumer-facing products
  • The impact of your work on the broader goals of the company
  • How you leverage insights to make user-driven decisions
