You will support Fluidstack’s data center team in its collaboration with local utilities and energy suppliers across the county. You will interact with local utilities, energy suppliers, consultants, design and engineering teams, data center end users, and equipment suppliers.
Oversee the execution of all utility-related tasks throughout the full lifecycle of data center projects
Support review and vetting of potential datacenter sites to assess viability of power delivery timeframes from the utility
Assist in the design and construction phases for data center substations, transmission line extensions, and supporting utility infrastructure
Coordinate with local utility providers, energy suppliers, consultants, engineering teams, end users, and equipment vendors
Lead negotiations on utility agreements, power pricing, and infrastructure needs across various markets
Document the utility’s load interconnection process as it relates to any financial commitments, cost responsibilities, duration of the various steps of the process, and understand when power commitments are secured during the process
Work closely with the design team to align utility capacities and timelines with overall project development schedules
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, business, or other related majors preferred. Advanced engineering, business, or other related degrees are a plus.
3-5+ years of data center utility experience, design, engineering, and/or construction experience; prefer substantive involvement in hyperscale data center projects.

The base salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
