We are hiring a UX Designer II to lead design for our core customer acquisition experiences. You will be responsible for the user experience where it matters most: the very first touchpoints a customer has with Prosper. This role requires a blend of high-level design thinking, functional and visual design expertise, and experience with advanced figma architectures. You will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to optimize the customer journey from arrival to conversion, ensuring our solutions are scalable, efficient, and user-centric. Why join us? Impact: Work on the product that drives the majority of our revenue. Innovation: Join us as we evolve our platform and leverage advanced technology to redefine the future of financial well-being. Culture: We are fueled by Curiosity, committed to Excellence, and believe Collaboration creates better solutions How you’ll make an impact
  • Drive growth: Optimize high-traffic application flows to remove friction and increase conversion. You view every design challenge as an opportunity to test, learn, and improve business outcomes.
  • Utilize Figma best practices: Build “Dev Mode” ready files using advanced Figma features (Variables, Conditional Logic, Auto Layout). Your files are structured, scalable, and easy for engineers to implement.
  • Collaborative execution: Work lock-step with your squad (including product managers, engineers, analysts, and more) to ship high-value experiences, while actively syncing with the wider UX team to share feedback, maintain consistency, and ensure a unified design language across the products.
  • Aligned ownership: You take full ownership of your work, driving projects from concept to delivery. You drive forward independently while still collaborating closely with your squad to ensure your work stays aligned with the roadmap.
  • Apply design thinking: Drive the end-to-end process—empathizing, defining, ideating, and prototyping—to find solutions that are desirable for users and feasible for the business.
  • Skills that will help you thrive
  • 5+ years of experience: You have at least 5 years of professional experience in UX/Product design, preferably within fintech, consumer finance, or similar environments.
  • Advanced Figma architecture: You are a top-tier Figma user. You use logic and structure to make your files efficient and maintainable.
  • Communication & influence: You are a confident presenter who can clearly articulate the “why” behind your design decisions. You build trust by connecting your work directly to business goals and navigating conflict constructively.
  • Growth mindset: You are data-informed. You design for outcomes, not just aesthetics, and are comfortable iterating based on performance metrics.
  • Design system proficiency: You know how to utilize an existing library effectively to maintain consistency without reinventing the wheel.
  • AI-responsibility: You know how to use AI tools to work smarter and embrace their pragmatic value, but you also understand their limitations and advocate for responsible, ethical usage.
  • Design thinking portfolio: Case studies that show your process (the “messy middle”), not just the final UI.
  • Self-starter attitude: You take initiative to facilitate better hand-offs and collaboration, ensuring design intent is perfectly translated into the final product.
  • Nice to have: Experience building/maintaining design systems (tokens, components).
  • Nice to have: Front-end development knowledge (HTML/CSS, React).
  • Nice to have: Experience conducting your own usability testing.
