User Experience Designer (UX/UI)

As a UX/UI Designer at Mint, you will play a key role in building upon a new web-based application focused on clinical research and electronic data capture (EDC). You will design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex medical data workflows while ensuring clarity, usability, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with product, engineering, clinical experts, regulatory teams, and customers to deliver a safe and user‑centered experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive UX concept development, information architecture, and interaction design for a clinical web application.
  • Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design specs to communicate design solutions.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with clinical roles (investigators, data managers, coordinators) to validate and refine designs.
  • Transform complex medical data into clear visualizations, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with medical software standards, including usability and accessibility requirements.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leads to shape and execute product strategy.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams (engineering, quality, regulatory) to align requirements and support implementation.
  • Contribute to the design system by maintaining component libraries, style guides, and interaction patterns.
  • Champion user‑centered design throughout the product lifecycle.
  • 2+ years of UX/UI design experience, with a focus on web applications.
  • Background in complex systems, ideally involving medical data, EDC, or clinical research.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, especially Figma.
  • Strong foundation in user‑centered design, usability best practices, and accessibility.
  • Clear and confident communication skills for presenting decisions and aligning stakeholders.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work, preferably in healthcare or other regulated domains.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and working in cross-functional Scrum / Kanban teams.
  • Experience designing for electronic data capture (EDC) systems or similar data-intensive applications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
