About us
Riverlane’s mission is to make quantum computing useful, sooner. From advances in material science to complex chemistry simulation for drug design and discovery, quantum computers will help solve some of the world’s most important challenges. Riverlane is building the quantum error correction stack, Deltaflow, to make this happen. It’s a complex problem that requires a range of skills, talent and passion.
We recently raised $75M in Series C funding to accelerate our cutting-edge R&D in quantum error correction (QEC), and are partnering with many of the world’s leading quantum hardware providers and government agencies to make fault-tolerant quantum computing a reality. We’re making remarkable progress and growing fast.
About the role
We have a unique opportunity for a proven quantum error correction expert to lead Riverlane’s growing quantum science team in Boston, US. Currently a team of 4 scientists working on cutting-edge quantum error correction research (in collaboration with our UK-based teams), our US quantum science team also works alongside our newly established hardware engineering team in Boston. With plans to further expand our Boston team, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow and strengthen our high-performing US team.
Collaborating extensively with other teams within Riverlane, as well as with world-leading external partners, the critical work you will do will directly contribute to Riverlane’s Quantum Error Correction Stack.
Reporting to the VP, Quantum Science, you will set the technical direction of the Boston science team, helping us to deliver Riverlane’s exciting and ambitious error correction roadmap and strategic research plan. Our talented science teams are cross disciplinary and include a mix of mathematicians, physicists and software developers, working together on a range of exciting and cutting-edge projects.
