US Partnerships Manager

TLDR

Drive growth by identifying and managing high volume partnerships in the US, negotiating deals, and cultivating strong partner relationships.

We’re looking for a driven and ambitious Partnerships Marketing Manager to join our Partnerships team in Austin to find and manage new partnerships in the US.

This role will report to the Partnerships Manager in London and your main KPI will be to grow the acquisition of new high volume customers through partnerships in the US.

As part of your role, you’ll be on the forefront of driving growth and cultivating relationships with partners. 

You’ll start by finding and closing partnerships with companies who have clients sending large volumes overseas and can save money by using Wise. Some use cases you will be targeting include people relocating or buying property abroad.

You’ll own the partnerships funnel from finding new partnership opportunities, negotiating the partnership deal and maximize new high volume customer acquisition.

As part of your role, you’ll need good selling skills to convince partners to work with us and excellent organizational skills to manage partner relationships. This will include understanding their needs and proactively informing them about their referrals, giving updates about Wise new products and meeting them regularly.

You’ll be expected to attend events in person to meet potential partnerships and customers that can drive volume growth.

You will also work closely with the Regional Northam team to help build the high volume customer strategy in the US and with the High Volume Relationship Management team in Austin to help customers referred by partners converting high volumes.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Find New Partnership Opportunities

  • Build the strategy to target high volume partnerships.

  • Find new partner prospects in the US, outreaching and meeting them to convince them to work with Wise.

  • Negotiate the partnership deal and commercials

  • Attend events in person to meet new partners and convince them to work with us.

  • Keep the pipeline updated to reflect the progress of new partnerships launched.

Manage partner relationships

  • Speak and meet partners regularly to discuss partnership performance, give updates about Wise new products and answer any queries.

  • Create supporting marketing materials needed to target partners’ audience, including training their teams to learn about Wise.

  • Find new optimization and cross collaboration opportunities to grow the partnership.

  • Identify key periods across the year for some partnership vertical and create referral campaigns to grow the partnership.

  • Weekly check-in with partnerships manager to discuss progress, blockers and any suggestions to maximize volume growth.

Reporting on partnership performance

  • Regularly review current acquisition spend vs revenue to ensure partners are meeting desired KPIs. Where they are not, take appropriate action to rectify

  • Monitor partner performance on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis and relate results back to specific activities

  • Strong understanding of different KPIs to make commercial decisions.
