POSITION: U.S. House Campaigns Research Associate (2 openings)

LOCATION: Washington, DC

 

AB PAC, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Research Associate to join our U.S. House Campaigns research team for the 2026 cycle. This position is based in our Washington, DC office.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a team to produce comprehensive opposition research products on Republican candidates in competitive House of Representatives races across the country;

  • Collecting information from public sources, including legislative votes, news clips, campaign finance reports, financial and legal records, and research databases;

  • Reporting results and findings to senior staff;

  • Performing rapid response research projects in key electoral races;

  • Other duties as needed.

Skills and qualifications required:  

  • Passionate about House elections

  • Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines a must

  • Strong commitment to teamwork

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivation, the ability to work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment

  • Experience with primary source documents and research databases such as LexisNexis is preferred.

  • Previous political research experience is preferred.

We offer a competitive salary starting at $65,000 for this position and a strong benefits package.
