Senior Analyst, Operational Excellence

Summary/Objective:

The Operational Excellence (OpEx) team is constructing foundational, scalable, and agile operations for HelloFresh. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to drive high-impact transformation projects.

In this Senior Business Analyst role, you won't just provide data; you will own the narrative. You will act as a strategic partner to the Associate Director of OpEx, leading complex workstreams that solve systemic problems in our supply chain and customer experience. You will be expected to mentor junior analysts, pioneer new analytical methodologies, and influence senior leadership through data-backed storytelling.

You will...

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead cross-functional analytics projects involving local/network planning, automation, and engineering to address gaps in DC input metrics.
  • Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Develop predictive models and complex data structures in Data Lakes using SQL and Python/R to forecast volumes and mitigate customer-reported errors before they occur.
  • System Optimization: Identify systemic inefficiencies in our data infrastructure; design and implement automated, scalable solutions that replace manual reporting.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Translate complex data sets into actionable business cases for senior leadership, advocating for resource allocation and process changes.
  • Mentorship & Best Practices: Set the standard for the OpEx team by establishing "gold standard" dashboarding (Grafana/Tableau/other BI tools) and code documentation practices; provide peer reviews.
  • Change Management: Drive the adoption of new KPIs and reporting tools across the fulfillment network, ensuring local teams understand and utilize data to improve performance.

You are....

  • Experience: At least 5–6 years of experience in an analytical, data management, or business intelligence role, preferably within supply chain or e-commerce.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL proficiency is mandatory. Professional experience using Python or R for data manipulation and automation is required at this level.
  • Visualization Expertise: Proven track record of building sophisticated, automated dashboards in Tableau, Grafana, or similar BI tools.
  • Problem Solving: A "systems thinker" who can look beyond the immediate data to understand the upstream and downstream impacts of operational changes.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate "the why" behind the numbers to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience leading end-to-end projects from initial discovery through to implementation and post-mortem analysis.

You have.....

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an analytical field (Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain, or Data Science).
  • Industry Context: 3+ years of experience specifically within a high-volume fulfillment, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Methodology: Certification or deep practical experience in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Autonomy: A proven ability to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

You’ll get…

  • Competitive hourly rate, 401K company match that vests immediately upon participation, & team bonus opportunities
  • Generous PTO and flexible attendance policy
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits with options at $0 monthly, effective first day of employment
  • Up to 85% discount on subscriptions to HelloFresh meal plans (HelloFresh, Green Chef, Everyplate, and Factor_)
  • Access to Employee Resource Groups that are open to all employees, including those pertaining to BIPOC, women, veterans, parents, and LGBTQ+
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company that is disrupting the traditional food supply chain
