The Role

Bring insurance products to life with the business case and user experience front of mind. Lean on your customer experience knowledge as well as your technical skillset to marry the needs to the tech.

You will engage with clients to understand and consult their insurance products and user journeys. You will work with them and your team to map out their journey and requirements to the Instanda platform, using your amazing UI/UX design skills.

Requirements

Design insurance products on the Instanda platform, using your exceptional HTML and CSS skills, with some JavaScript. This is the core aspect of the role, where you can really show off your web design skills using the CMS-like platform. You will be designing lots of different and complex forms, summary pages, customer portals, and more.

Design insurance HTML documents and email templates according to the branding guidelines and references.
Participate in the Design & Discovery phase, where you will gather context and requirements around the product from the Business Analyst, and the look-and-feel and user journey. Understand the needs, ask questions, and get an idea for a rough estimate.
Create high-fidelity mock-ups of the user journey on the Instanda platform using Figma.
Liaise with your Project Manager to ascertain estimates and planning. Participate in sprint cycles and ceremonies, internally and with the client.
Research and contribute to internal best practice, including new tools or trends in UI/web design: we love to share with each other!
Adhere to INSTANDA’s information security policies, guidelines and best practices to protect our company and our clients.
Contribute to a culture of security awareness within the company.

What we’re looking for

3 to 5 years of professional experience designing and developing responsive websites using HTML and CSS.
Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS, ideally with knowledge of LESS.
Hands-on experience with CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) to build scalable, responsive UI components.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of JavaScript.
Demonstrated expertise in creating high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes using design tools such as Figma.
Proven ability to present design concepts, articulate rationale, and collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
Experience with cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
Strong understanding of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
Solid grasp of UX principles, user flows, and interaction design.
Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.
Ability to translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive UI solutions.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong documentation skills for design handover and product documentation.
