Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap planning while providing guidance to fellow team members, with a defined path toward UI/Design Leadership
  • Collaborate across functions with engineering, product, and design teams to build scalable solutions that process intricate commodity market information
  • Architect, build, and refine high-performance, user-facing interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, emphasizing accessibility, responsive design, and fluid interaction patterns
  • Build and iterate on UI components and user journeys with careful attention to detail, code maintainability, and adherence to design system standards
  • Embed advanced AI functionality into frontend experiences, encompassing natural language interfaces, conversational AI elements, autonomous workflow components, and live data visualizations

Requirements

Essential

  • Must reside in the New York City area and be available for full-time, on-site collaboration
  • Deep knowledge of web performance optimization strategies, accessibility compliance (WCAG), and contemporary testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
  • Demonstrated history of designing and delivering refined, production-grade user interfaces for consumer-facing products
  • Product-focused approach with the capability to take full ownership from ideation to release within dynamic, early-stage settings
  • 3–5 years of hands-on frontend development experience showcasing proficiency in Next.js, React, and TypeScript
  • Practical experience incorporating AI/ML functionality into frontend products (LLM APIs, chat interfaces, generative AI features, or intelligent assistive elements)

Preferred

  • Knowledge of design systems creation and component library architecture
  • Experience developing data-rich or analytics-focused applications with sophisticated visualization needs
  • Comfort using modern AI-powered development tools and methodologies
  • Prior work in fintech, commodities, trading systems, or B2B enterprise solutions
