UI/UX Design Internship

Auterion, the leader in open-source drone solutions, is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team for a fixed-term project lasting 4 to 6 months.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to redesign and enhance the user experience of Auterion Mission Control and Auterion Suite, key tools for enterprise drone operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• User Research: Work with the Product team to gather user insights, personas, and workflows to inform the redesign process.
  
• UI/UX Redesign: Redesign and refine the interfaces of Auterion Mission Control and Suite, ensuring usability, modern aesthetics, and alignment with branding.
• Design Prototypes: Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate design concepts effectively.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to align design decisions with technical and user requirements.
• User Testing: Conduct and analyze usability tests to validate and improve designs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 3+ years in UI/UX design, with a focus on SaaS platforms or enterprise tools.
• Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing relevant projects, including web or software interfaces with complex workflows.
• Design Expertise: Proficiency in designing with Figma, with a solid understanding of responsive and user-centered design principles.
• Technical Skills: Ability to translate designs into HTML or implement them using web frameworks such as Vue.js is a strong plus.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to transform complex user flows into intuitive, streamlined interfaces.
• Collaboration Skills: Experience working in cross-functional teams, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-Oriented: A strong eye for design elements such as typography, color, and layout.
• Preferred: Familiarity with drone technology, mission planning platforms, or open-source ecosystems.
• Eligibility: CH/EU Citizenship is a requirement.
