About the Role

We are looking for an iOS UI Engineer for the development of our client application layer. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role focused on crafting elegant, high-performance user experiences using modern Apple frameworks. You will drive the implementation of features from conception to deployment using SwiftUI.

This position requires a deep passion for design and UX, coupled with a keen understanding of iOS architecture and the complex interactions between the application layer and the underlying system services. You will act as a technical design partner to the UX team, ensuring that ambitious designs are translated into robust, scalable, and efficient code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Modern UI Development: Architect and build new user-facing features primarily using SwiftUI.
  • Architecture & Design: Actively collaborate with UX/Design teams, providing technical feasibility insights and contributing to the user experience and design documentation.
  • Quality & Accessibility: Write comprehensive Unit, User Acceptance (UAT), and Snapshot Tests to ensure visual consistency and functional quality. Ensure all features meet high standards for Accessibility (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type) and Internationalisation (RTL).

Must-Have Expertise

  • Experience: 14+ years of professional iOS software development experience with proven success building and supporting applications at massive, global scale.
  • UI Prowess: Expert proficiency in SwiftUI and modern UI development patterns, with a demonstrated passion for the Apple design ecosystem.
  • Architecture: Deep understanding of iOS architecture, data flow, component structure, and MVVM/Combine.
  • Core Skills: Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code, and a basic understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming.
  • Autonomy: Operates with a high degree of autonomy and ownership within a structured, engineering-driven environment.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, and proven experience working on distributed teams across time zones.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) for local testing or staging environments.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools like Splunk/Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Experience with Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
