Lauren Services is committed to developing future engineering talent and creating long‑term connections with students exploring their career paths.


Our paid internship/co‑op program gives 2nd–4th year engineering students—and recent graduates—hands‑on exposure to real project work across oil & gas, renewables, and utility infrastructure.


Interns gain meaningful experience working alongside professional engineers, contributing directly to community‑impacting projects. Many interns continue with us in future terms or transition into Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) roles as they begin their careers. Our goal is to build lasting relationships and a strong pipeline of future engineering professionals at Lauren.



ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support engineering tasks using standard techniques, procedures, and industry practices.
  • Work directly under the guidance of project managers and senior engineers, with opportunities to learn from multiple disciplines.
  • Apply developing judgment while gaining exposure to professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Assist in evaluating engineering alternatives and preparing preliminary technical recommendations.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, create drawings, and contribute to technical documentation and visual aids.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or newly graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Foundational understanding of engineering requirements within oil & gas, utilities, and renewable energy sectors.
  • General familiarity with industry practices, specifications, and regulatory expectations.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software; exposure to engineering design tools. 
  • Preferred: Students with one academic year remaining. High‑performing interns may be considered for future internships, co‑op placements, or EIT opportunities at Lauren.



SKILLS

  • Fundamental engineering skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with peers, project stakeholders, site teams, and clients.
Salary
CAD $25 – CAD $27 per hour
