TypeScript Backend Developer (m/f/d)

What we are looking for:

To support our mission, we are seeking a motivated, passionate, and results-oriented TypeScript Backend Developer to join our Business Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for back-end development, supporting internal business applications, and integrating various enterprise systems. You will work in a dynamic environment where independent problem-solving, cross-team collaboration, and managing multiple dependencies are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong TypeScript back-end expertise who thrives in complex environments and is eager to help establish an event-driven system architecture.

• Develop and maintain backend services using TypeScript for internal business applications
• Work closely with different teams to gather and implement technical requirements
• Develop internal systems as well as integrate enterprise software solutions (e.g., NetSuite, SalesForce, etc.)
• Support the development and optimization of internal business workflows and processes
• Collaborate with other developers through pair programming and knowledge sharing
• Manage multiple dependencies and ensure smooth communication between different systems
• Work with Jira for ticketing and task management
• Contribute to improving the team’s development processes and system architecture

Basic Qualifications:

• Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
• Easy to work with
• Sense of urgency
• At least 2-3 years of experience in software development with a focus on TypeScript
• Strong backend development experience (frontend skills are a plus)
• Familiarity with distributed systems and their challenges
• Ability to self-organize and work independently while handling multiple requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills English are mandatory, any other languages like German are a plus

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with messaging and event-based system integration (e.g. based on Kafka)
• Basic knowledge of business processes
• Experience with cloud infrastructur (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Familiarity with NetSuite customization would be a plus
