About the role

In this key role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to lead user-first strategy and execution of delightful, engaging, outcome-driven user experiences for members who are just signing up for the program to ensure that eligible members are set up for success once they start the program. Your empathy for our users, innovative thinking, and a data-driven process will be essential. You will lead efforts to conceptualize and evolve new approaches to gathering key user information, and increasing member understanding and motivation prior to the start of their health improvement journey. 

This role is based in India and is open to remote applicants across the country. You will be working with a global team based in the US and India. 

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience designing mobile healthcare experiences that balance clinical data and positive behavior change related to nutrition, fitness, and related activities that promote wellness. Candidates should have experience with product activation/onboarding flows and the application of conversational AI and/or agentic workflow strategies. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with other designers, product managers, and engineers to create delightful, consistent, and user-validated experiences across mobile and web.

  • Work with cross-functional partners to define experience strategy, roadmaps, and ensure on time delivery of concepts, and highly refined final design deliverables.

  • Create user journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and specs that document key use cases and user stories, working with teams to support implementation efforts from concept to delivery.

  • Design refined, intuitive, and effective user interfaces that leverage modern design techniques, while taking advantage of developments in AI/ML to streamline complex workflows.

  • Clearly articulate your design rationale and concepts. Conduct user research to gain insights into unmet needs, pain points, and behaviors. Use these insights to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.

  • Contribute to a design system and advocate for its application across different products.

  • Drive a user-first mindset in everything you do, advocating for user needs while balancing business and technical goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, user experience, HCI, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, as well as a portfolio that demonstrates both UX and visual design for enterprise and consumer products.

  • 7+ years of UX/product design experience, with minimum 3-5 years designing user interfaces for healthcare or related products.

  • Experience leading product areas for mobile app consumer products required. Experience leading mobile app enrollment and onboarding flows strongly preferred.

  • Expertise in design systems, information architecture, design patterns, and interaction design. Experience drafting copy or animations to support your UX is a plus.

  • Experience working with patient facing mobile experience and collaborating with clinical teams and workflows strongly preferred

  • Experience designing AI/ML, agentic, and LLM augmented experiences. LLM prompting experience is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with developers and understand the capabilities and constraints of native mobile design.

  • Great eye and passion for visual design, and demonstration of well-considered interactive design.
