About the Role
Our client is a rapidly expanding global consumer internet platform with hundreds of millions of users across content, community, e-commerce, and advertising ecosystems. As the platform continues to scale internationally, building a robust and adaptive global policy framework is critical to ensuring content safety, regulatory compliance, and ecosystem health across diverse markets.
This role sits within the Trust & Safety Policy team, focusing on designing and evolving global content and community policies, translating high-level principles into operational standards, and ensuring effective implementation across regions. You will work at the intersection of policy, product, legal, and operations, navigating complex and fast-changing risk landscapes across different cultural and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Policy Development & Optimisation
- Develop, maintain, and continuously optimise global content and community policies, including:
- Community guidelines
- Advertising policies
- Creator policies
- Ensure platform safety and long-term ecosystem health
- Policy Translation & Operationalisation
- Translate policy principles into clear, actionable moderation standards and operational guidelines
- Enable moderation and review teams to execute policies effectively and consistently
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with moderation/review, legal, product, and engineering teams
- Ensure consistent policy understanding and smooth implementation across functions
- Risk Identification & Policy Evolution
- Identify and assess platform risks
- Monitor policy enforcement effectiveness, industry trends, and emerging issues
- Continuously drive policy iteration and improvement
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Preferred backgrounds: Law, Public Policy, International Relations, Media/Communications, Sociology
- Relevant Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, content policy, platform governance, or related domains
- Experience in international or cross-border environments is preferred
- Language & Communication
- Fluent in English (working language)
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills
- Ability to understand regional user behaviours and cultural nuances across markets
- Work Style & Environment
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments and multi-timezone, global teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in global internet platforms such as YouTube, Meta, or X
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, DSA, COPPA
- Experience handling cross-border content risks and global major incidents or sensitive events
