Travel Specialist for the Mediterranean Region (German Speaker) - Remote

Join us at Ventura TRAVEL – a group of specialized travel brands that unleash the adventurer in every person!  As the Gustoventura team, our mission is to help travelers truly experience the Mediterranean by offering unforgettable trips and unique cultural and culinary encounters.

As our new Travel Specialist, you’ll inspire our German-speaking customers to explore the Mediterranean. You will have the freedom to create and sell high-quality, authentic group trips to German-speaking clients. In addition, you will oversee smooth trip preparation and follow-up. As an expert with a real passion for the Mediterranean region, you will unite responsible tourism and innovative travel experiences for our guests. You will have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service in German—both by email and over the phone.

We are currently looking primarily for destination specialists for countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece.

On a daily basis, you will:

• Sell, sell, sell: help our travelers (over the phone and by email) choose their perfect travel adventure.
• Be responsible for the presentation of our travel products (mainly on our website).
• Guide our travelers before and after the trip (by phone and e-mail).
• Work on the content in German for the website: you create new material on a regular basis, or you translate existing texts from English.
• Coordinate reservations with our local service providers.
• Get the best deal for Gustoventura and our clients, negotiating the services and prices with the local service providers.
• Develop new products for Gustoventura, where you get to design a trip from scratch.
• Meet the monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for your trips. 

The basics you bring along

• Passion for customer service and sales.
• Native-level oral and written knowledge of German (at least C1).
• Fluent oral and written knowledge of English.
• You are passionate about the Mediterranean and have travel experience there.
• You are fun to be around—your colleagues will enjoy working with you!
• And last but not least: you bring a positive attitude, and you remain calm under stress.

You can impress us even more with

• You have knowledge of Greek and/or Italian and/or Spanish and/or Portuguese.
• Experience in tourism industry and especially tour-operator.
• Living and working experience in one of our travel destinations.
• Software skills.
