Role Summary

As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of training programs and leading the Nepal Training Specialist team. You will manage incoming training requests, define the scope of work, and allocate projects to Training Specialists while actively balancing team capacity to meet the most critical business needs.

You will oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training solutions to ensure they meet agreed requirements and quality standards. For selected strategic initiatives, you may also be directly involved in creating and delivering training.

In this role, you will manage team performance and development by providing coaching, mentoring, and clear growth pathways for team members. You will act as a subject matter expert in training processes, standards, and tools, and use business data, training evaluation insights, and external best practices to drive continuous improvement and deliver efficient, effective, and scalable training outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the training needs analysis on internal training requests, document the skill gap, project requirements, and outline the training solution (or other opportunities) that meet those needs.
  • Form effective partnerships with Go To Market, Talent Acquisition, and Service Delivery and proactively identify current and potential capability gaps in our workforce. 
  • Oversee the design of efficient and effective training plans (programs) that develop knowledge and skills to meet client performance targets. 
  • Oversee the design, development, and storage of training materials, ensuring they meet the program design requirements and our standards.
  • Oversee - and lead as needed - the delivery of live training events ensuring team members meet standards, and use appropriate facilitation techniques to meet objectives.
  • Ensure Core and Cloud team trainers’ continuous development through growth plans, train the trainer training, mentoring/coaching, and formal development opportunities. 
  • Analyze data from our training programs and the business to identify trends, assess outcomes, and recommend improvements for the content, program, and team.
  • Maintain training records, including certificates and accreditations, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Ensure you and your team follow our processes, policies, standards, tools; proactively identify opportunities to improve on these.
  • Act as an example of how the Culture Code is embedded in our work.
  • Consistently achieve assigned training goals and ensure staff are aware of updates to corporate policies and InfoSec materials.
  • Manage team performance through goals setting, regular performance reviews, feedback, and PDPs and PIPs as needed.
  • Work with the Head of Skills and Capabilities to define Quarterly OKRs; monitor and manage your and your team’s goals in relation to achieving this, and provide updates and / or data for Senior Leadership.  
  • Manage team capacity using the planner to track and assign requests, balance workloads and optimize productivity; find creative solutions where there are conflicting priorities; and develop capacity in terms of experience, skills, and timezone availability.
  • Manage training projects - particularly for Junior team members and / or where there are multiple or complex deliveries required - ensuring training is delivered on time, on scope, and on budget. 
  • Extended Delivery Leadership Team Member:
  • Act as a leadership role model, collaborating for the success of the function and CloudFactory's OKRs.
  • Contribute to the Delivery Strategy and overall effectiveness and efficiency of CloudFactory.

Requirements

  • Knowledge: 
    • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decisions and improve training programs.

    • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and make strategic decisions.
    • Consultation : Takes responsibility for elements of a larger consulting engagement.
  • Skills and Experience: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field. 
    • 7+ years of experience in training and development or a related role.
    • Proven experience in analysing, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
    • Proven experience in managing training teams: recruitment, capacity, performance, development.
    • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and content authoring tools.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
