Trading Director (Remote - Europe)

As Trading Director, you will lead and shape a high-performing Trading and Risk Management team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational risk strategies, managing exposure, and ensuring the integrity of trading operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can translate complex data into actionable insights, guide team performance, and make real-time decisions that impact business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, providing strategic direction and operational expertise to support growth. Accountabilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Trading and Risk Management team to ensure operational excellence and consistent performance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor risk strategies to manage liabilities, safeguard exposure, and optimize trading outcomes.
• Oversee daily trading activities, making real-time decisions and adjustments based on market trends and betting activities.
• Design and deliver risk reports and dashboards to leadership, translating complex trading and market data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk initiatives and support business objectives.
• Ensure operational compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sports betting, iGaming, or related trading and risk management roles.
• Proven experience leading operational teams in high-pressure, fast-moving environments.
• Deep understanding of sportsbook mechanics, bet types, liability management, and exposure control.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Technical proficiency with trading platforms, risk management systems, and data analytics tools for real-time decision-making.
• Based in Europe and fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Bonus: Experience building trading or risk teams, project/program management skills, knowledge of regulatory environments, and experience with GRC or risk management tools.
