Summary of Position:

The Trading Desk Officer is responsible for the accurate execution and processing of client orders across equities, fixed income, and funds, while supporting the daily operations of the Trade Desk. The role involves assisting with local and international trading activity, maintaining trading systems and records, and supporting internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute and process equity, fixed income, fund, and money market trades (local and

  • international).

  • Support MSE trading activity, including order reconciliations

  • Perform security setup (new securities and maintenance) within trading systems.

  • Process securities transfers

  • Support IPO administration and shareholder services (AGMs, loyalty schemes, etc.).

  • Maintain bond and fund lists and upload daily trade commentary.

  • Provide operational support to Advisors, Compliance, Operations, ISSO, and Call Centre teams.

  • Assist with MiFID II reporting, market abuse monitoring (local and international), and other

  • regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained up-to-date at all times

  • Contribute to Trade Desk coverage from 08:30 to 22:00, including public holidays.

Requirements

  • A qualification in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of financial markets, including equities and fixed income instruments.

  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and support multiple internal stakeholders.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

  • Understanding of regulatory concepts such as MiFID II and market abuse (preferred but not essential).

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required by Trade Desk coverage.
