We have an immediate opportunity for a Tow Truck Operator to join our team in a well-established, progressively growing group of companies. Reporting directly to the Manager, The Tow Truck Operator is responsible for operations of the company tow vehicles, for picking up and dropping off vehicles. The Tow Operator should have a clean driver’s abstract, A background in roadside assistance or experience loading and unloading a flatbed truck or tractor-trailer is a plus. Your primary duties will revolve around picking up and dropping off vehicles between the company locations.

 

Hourly Paid Position: $25.00/hour

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Ability to properly inspect the operating vehicle

  • Keep your truck clean and in good condition.
  • Upkeep appropriate licensing to operate the tow trucks.
  • Practice safe operating procedures at all times.
  • Abide by the highway traffic act, when en route
  • Safely load cars onto the back of your truck
  • Attaches antisway bar to the vehicle by means of a cable, chains, or other grappling devices, and hoists one end of the vehicle, using hand or powered winch, to tow vehicle to various locations
  • Manage and respond properly to vehicle calls within the Company software
  • Maintain organization and prompt communication between our different locations.

Requirements

  • Have clean driving and criminal record
  • Full Class G Drivers License required
  • DZ license is preferred
  • Must have a strong ability to follow direction
  • Must have a strong sense of safety and accident prevention
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work individually or as a team player
  • Must be able to manage and maintain an organized schedule in order to increase efficiency of drop offs and pick ups
