RMC is seeking to hire a Tier 2 Desktop Support Technician (0800-1600 day shift) 100% onsite in Crane, Indiana.

The chosen candidate will be tasked with:

  • Building and maintaining a professional rapport with all customers and clients in a fast-paced call center setting.
  • Delivering technical support by addressing and resolving end-user issues.
  • Detecting, investigating, and resolving technical challenges at both the Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels.
  • Creating and documenting internal procedures.
  • Assisting in the onboarding process for new users.
  • Supporting the upkeep of multiple classrooms, including rearranging furniture.
  • Exemplifying effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of Systems Administration and/or IT Help Desk Experience.
  • Proven ability to efficiently utilize Help Desk tracking and ticketing systems; monitoring technical issues through ServiceNow and other ticketing platforms; preserving historical records and associated documentation to guarantee prompt resolution.
  • Proficient in detecting and resolving data communication problems using specialized tools, testing equipment, and software utilities.
  • Familiarity with the setup and configuration of new workstations, along with peripheral devices and software.
  • Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Certification Requirements:

  • A DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) is mandatory.
  • Security Clearance Requirements: An active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory to begin employment. Candidates who are selected may undergo a security investigation and must fulfill the eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $60,000 to $70,000 (annually).
