About the Opportunity

The Testing Manger coordinates the planning and implementation of local and state assessments (KReady, AIR, AASCD, OGT/EOC) in alignment with the philosophy and policies adopted by the school, the policies of the governing board and the state board of education, as well as the provisions of law, and the directives of the school leadership team. 

The Testing Manager works collaboratively and incorporates student-centered, solution-oriented practices in all aspects of the job.

  • Maintain necessary accounts with the Department of Education and other testing vendors
  • Maintain accurate student data in TIDE (add, withdraw)
  • Maintain student and teacher data in the KReady system and track KReady teacher training completion
  • Plan for all non-proficient students requiring make-up testing (3rd Grade ELA, AIR testing for credit deficient students)
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with sites and venues, navigate bookings and agreements to arrange for testing sites for all necessary in-person tests, including State Tests
  • Coordinate and arrange all staff lodging needs for test administration
  • Order all applicable tests and materials
  • Manage testing expenditures within approved budgetary limits
  • Assist with resolving data issues that arise from internal corporate or state audits
  • Assist State Reporting Staff with compiling all testing data for report
  • Manage distribution of student result reports to families
  • Coordinate communications for staff and families with respect to testing
  • Create and facilitate virtual and in person staff training regarding test security and best practices in test administration
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports along with continuous feedback to management
  • Coordinate communications for staff and families with respect to testing
  • Create, distribute, and manage site staffing plans and assignments
  • Coordinate distribution and collection of testing materials
  • Oversee implementation of Special Education and related student accommodations for testing
  • Attend all professional development offered by the district regarding updating and maintaining information to the district's databases and testing
  • Collaborate with High School Administration to assign appropriate OGT/EOC assessments to students
  • Import all state test scores into Student Information System (SIS)
  • Craft professional, respectful and courteous communication for a variety of stakeholders
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and web-based applications
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write and explain instructions
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and job performance under stressful conditions
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability and willingness to travel to testing sites within the state up to 10% of time
  • Previous experience with testing administration in K-12 schools preferred
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
  • Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)

The annual starting salary for this position is between $65,000 – $75,000 annually.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
