A QA Manager role within a large-scale, international energy project operating across a dynamic portfolio of initiatives. The role requires strong QA leadership experience, a solid understanding of manual testing, practical knowledge of test automation realities, and the ability to manage testing teams and quality in a complex, demanding environment. The project supports solutions for the exploration, production, and distribution of energy resources, with a strong focus on the oil & gas domain. It operates at global scale, emphasizing innovation, stability, and long-term sustainable development.
leading and managing QA teams, including both manual and automated testers, across multiple projects,
planning and prioritizing QA activities, ensuring timely delivery while handling workload, conflicts, and changing project contexts,
Defining and tracking quality metrics, analyze QA data, and report insights to stakeholders to support informed decision-making,
ensuring QA processes and standards are maintained in a complex, highly regulated environment, with focus on continuous improvement,
collaborating with project managers, delivery teams, and presales or commercial stakeholders to align QA efforts with business goals,
advocating for quality decisions using data-driven arguments, balancing test coverage, team capacity, and project costs.
8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance,
3+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role,
proven experience in improving and evolving testing processes,
experience managing both manual and automation testing teams, as well as working with teams distributed across multiple projects,
ability to plan QA teams’ work, set testing priorities, and effectively respond to overloads, conflicts, and changing project contexts, including coordinating work and reallocating people based on workload and needs,
experience defining and using quality metrics to drive decisions, manage stakeholder expectations, and demonstrate the business value of QA,
strong ability to analyze and interpret data, not just collect it,
ability to justify quality-related decisions using data, and to clearly explain testing and QA team costs,
experience preparing ROI calculations and estimations,
ability to look beyond QA, understand the full SDLC, and collaborate closely with all other areas of development,
ability to assess risks based on data and propose appropriate solutions,
English - at least B2.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
experience working in highly formalized projects requiring extensive test documentation and pre-production acceptance processes,
experience managing projects in the role of a Delivery Manager,
experience supporting sales and pre-sales activities, including helping to scale and expand teams,
the ideal candidate combines competencies from QA, Delivery Management, and Sales,
ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic environment,
willingness and ability to interact directly with a demanding, results-oriented senior stakeholders, including regular status meetings focused on metrics, progress, and accountability,
this is a leadership and management role, not a hands-on testing position.
