Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a highly experienced Test Lead to support a major Identity and Access Management (IAM) transformation programme. This role will lead the testing strategy across complex, enterprise-scale environments, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple systems and teams. The Test Lead will drive test governance, automation strategy, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight within a large, globally distributed organisation.

What you will do:

  • Lead the creation of multi-environment and multi-phase test strategies and plans.
  • Define both functional and non-functional test approaches at project level.
  • Create and review test scenarios derived from business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Direct all testing activity including planning, execution, reporting, and coordination across the programme.
  • Manage defect prioritisation and resolution across all phases of testing, including leading triage sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to auditable and robust test processes with clearly evidenced control points.
  • Deliver test estimates and work closely with Project Managers to meet delivery timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance test principles and governance across the programme.
  • Implement and manage automation frameworks to reduce test cycles while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Define and maintain regression test packs, ensuring continuous updates by the team.
  • Coordinate closely with business analysts, scrum masters, and technical leads to align testing with programme objectives.
  • Provide test completion certification for entry into Release processes.
  • Deliver regular executive-level reporting on test progress, risk, and quality metrics.
  • Support performance and non-functional testing initiatives across the platform.
  • Participate in programme governance meetings with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the overall test process and strategy.
  • Make key decisions relating to test delivery within the programme environment.
  • Mentor and coach test engineers on methodologies, review techniques, and best practices.
  • Act as a positive and collaborative leader within a large programme environment.
  • Lead organizational performance testing standards, automation practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Test Lead role within complex environments.
  • Proven experience working in globally distributed teams and enterprise programmes.
  • Strong API and database testing expertise with hands-on testing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute test strategies across multiple environments.
  • Advanced expertise with Jira and Zephyr tools.
  • Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium and Tosca.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and team management capability.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to define and enforce test entry and exit criteria.
  • ISTQB Intermediate certification (or equivalent).
  • Excellent conflict management and problem-resolution skills.
  • Previous experience within Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access, and Secrets Management platforms.
  • Exposure to SailPoint IdentityIQ or identity warehousing solutions.
  • Experience testing directory services including Active Directory and ADLDS.
  • Knowledge of identity protocols including SCIM, REST API, LDAP, OIDC, and CSV data ingestion formats.
  • Experience testing Graph Database Management Systems (GDBMS).
  • Integration testing experience with ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  • Experience testing Policy as Code and GitOps repositories.
  • Strong working knowledge of Java.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Maven, JUnit Jupiter, Selenium WebDriver, and automation pipelines.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway testing, Batch ETL testing, and SaaS testing.
  • ISTQB Manager certification.
  • Prior financial services or large-enterprise programme experience.
