Department and Project

This position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals specializing in electronic road-charging solutions. Together with our partners, we develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process (vehicle registrations, country booking, providing On-Board Units, position data transmission, charge calculation, and fleet billing). Leveraging digital intelligence and advanced technology, our tolling solutions facilitate seamless mobility across Europe. The team aims to enhance existing services and expand into new domains. As part of an international team collaborating with T-Systems International, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with cutting-edge tolling solutions.

Main tasks

As a test engineer You will:

  • analyze detail design documentation, end-to-end business processes and process chains to design, specify and execute end-to-end acceptances tests for complete business solutions.
  • You are documenting test cases e.g. in JIRA (X-Ray) and MS-Word based on requirements, features and user stories.
  • perform system analysis, and design, implement and execute system and acceptance tests.
  • To understand planned features and user stories, you co-operate with the development team and take part in refinements and acceptance meetings.
  • execute manual tests, using simulators and tools (e.g. SOAP UI, Insomnia, XML Tools, OpenSearch) and/or the application GUIs for end-to-end tests on high product quality standards.
  • perform testing activities on container-based applications and microservices (frontend and backend).
  • identify test cases, which are suitable for automating and support test automation colleagues and approaches.
  • Optional:
  • You co-operate with operation colleagues to maintain the infrastructure needed.
  • generate test data and perform test data management.
  • try out new technologies to constantly improve test methodologies expand our wide range of know-how.

Background and required skills:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
  • ISTQB (or analogous) Certification (CTFL or Agile Tester)
  • ISTQB Advanced Level Certification (Test Analyst or Agile Technical Tester)
  • You have experience with Oracle- and Postgres- databases, XML and JSON formats, REST and SOAP messaging.
  • CI/CD fundamentals with good knowledge of Continuous Testing (architecture, platforms, tools).
  • Basic test automation knowledge for integration-, API- and End-to-End test.
  • Experience in in agile techniques such as scrum.
  • Hands-on experience in test analysis and test design based on user stories.
  • Practical experience in the realization of tests, manual and automated test execution and the documentation of test results.
  • You are open to work in a DevOps squad with joint responsibility for production environment & SLAs.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Advantage:

  • German language knowledge
  • Practical experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) are advantageous.
  • Practical experience in testing in an agile environment (test quadrants, shift left approach)
  • Hands-on experience working with a CI/CD pipeline (dealing with git, conducting code reviews, analyzing static test results such as static code analysis)
  • Practical experience in container technologies and container management platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Communication skills to work in an agile development team. Experienced in the cooperation with product owners, scrum masters, developers and testers.
  • Analysis capabilities to investigate and evaluate deviations and anomalies in the test results obtained.
