We are hiring a Senior Test Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing organization supporting aerospace and defense-related programs. This is a onsite role based in Melbourne, FL. Key responsibilities include: Own all production and repair test activities for assigned products Design, develop, and implement cost-effective test and troubleshooting methods across product development and manufacturing phases Author and maintain test procedures and documentation through formal change management processes Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures, and develop equipment specifications Partner with operations teams to establish test plans and support production throughput Support transition of test solutions during factory transfers or product acquisitions Interface with management to communicate program status, risks, capital needs, and continuous improvement initiatives Proactively communicate operational and technical risks and opportunities to engineering leadership Provide regular performance updates to the Engineering Manager Support operational build plans through hands-on technical support that drives productivity What we’re looking for: Strong analog and digital troubleshooting skills to the component level Experience with software programming or diagnostic tools to aid troubleshooting Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and frequent change Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or similar preferred) Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work onsite full time; relocation assistance is not preferred US work authorization required; sponsorship is not available due to government and defense program requirements Work environment and physical requirements: Hands-on role requiring manual dexterity and component-level work Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and sit or stand for extended periods Occasional exposure to chemicals and bonding agents
