The world population is growing rapidly, and our planet lacks the resources to feed everyone in the traditional way. Greenhouses offer an efficient way to produce food and flowers in a sustainable manner.
Blue Radix is the AI-specialist and market leader in autonomous greenhouse management. We help growers worldwide to produce high-quality crops, achieve strong yields, and reduce resource usage in order to shape a smarter, more sustainable future for food production.
At Blue Radix, your work has real impact. You’ll get the freedom to take ownership, contribute your ideas, and actively help shape where we’re headed. As we continue to grow, we stay grounded, work with intention, structure, and openness to new ideas. If you’re looking to help build and grow something meaningful, you’ll fit right in.
Your Role:
As our new Test Engineer, you’ll join the Product Development team to safeguard the quality of the applications that power autonomous climate management in greenhouses. The products you work on are used daily by growers worldwide to make food production more efficient and sustainable.
In practice, you are responsible for:
Analyzing functionality before development to shape the testing process.
Coordinating automated unit tests closely with your DevOps team.
Building your own test scripts for automated integration and performance tests across front-end and back-end.
Executing manual tests where automation isn’t possible, together with DevOps and end users.
Working with business analysts, test engineers, and others to continuously improve how we work.
Shaping and executing our test strategy: choose the right approach, improve quality practices, and ensure quality is built in from the start.
Designing, developing, and performing automated and manual tests together with business owners, developers, and DevOps to meet Blue Radix’s high standards.
What do you bring along?
You are eager to improve or automate inefficient, manual processes and you feel the balance between automation and pragmatism. You have been working as a tester or test engineer for at least three years. During these years, you have developed a solid skill set:
A degree on bachelor level with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant roles.
Strong analytical skills and communication skills. You are able to grasp the essence of complex data structures and functionality in short time and are able to design test strategies yourself.
Ability to execute test cases, test plans, and regression cycles, combining both manual and automated approaches in an efficient way.
Strong API testing and backend test automation experience. Preferred: Testing in a Python environment using frameworks such as pytest, Playwright API, or similar.
Experience with UI test automation for front-end applications like React in tools like Playwright or Selenium.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
You are eager to take initiative and share your experience in the team.
You are up-to-date with the latest developments in test engineering and eager to do your research and learn.
You will become part of a team of talented, skilled, and educated colleagues developing cutting-edge solutions. You fit in perfectly if you are looking for:
The opportunity to create a world that is future proof, whilst expanding your know-how, fulfilling your ambitions, and evolving new initiatives. Develop yourself by joining high quality personal skills training, visit conferences or follow courses with your team.
We enjoy spending time together during lunch, drinks and events to get to know each other and have a good time. The diversity in our team provides a great source of amazing stories, experiences and insights.
Always something exciting to work on with our broad range of activities ranging from energy optimization to climate control algorithms using advanced technology.
The chance to be part of an exciting journey in a growing company with an international customer base.
When you work at Blue Radix, you contribute directly to our success. You are involved in the direction of the strategy; you are given professional freedom, and you take your responsibility.
A good balance between working at home and meeting colleagues at the office.
A great location to work in the Van Nelle factory (World Heritage Location) with awesome coffee.
