Test Engineer (GNC)
TLDR
Design and operate testbeds to validate sensors and actuators, ensuring flight hardware meets performance requirements in a fast-paced startup environment.
-
Test Bench Development — Design, build, and commission test benches and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for GNC hardware validation, including mechanical fixtures, electrical harnesses, test PCBs, and other custom instrumentation.
-
Review, inspect, and functionally test incoming electronic boards and assemblies: verify board bring-up, debug anomalies using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
-
Develop test software for GNC components (sensors, actuators), including automated test scripts, data acquisition, processing pipelines, and reporting tools.
-
Develop and execute formal test procedures for component-level and subsystem-level validation, from first article inspection through production acceptance.
-
Process, analyze, and document test results to support performance model updates, calibration, and design reviews.
-
Participate in AIT campaigns, including environmental testing ensuring continuity from component validation through production.
-
BS +5 years / MS +3 years in Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related field.
