As our new Test Engineer, you’ll be hands‑on across both manual and automated testing, spanning functional (API/UI) and non‑functional (performance) domains. Your mahi will help shape the quality of our trading and corporate platforms — systems that are critical to Contact’s growth and Aotearoa’s renewable future.

You’ll work closely with Delivery Leads, Product Owners, BAs, Project Managers, and fellow Testers as part of a collaborative, transparent, cross‑functional team.

In this role, you will:

  • Define test scenarios and prepare test data
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and end‑to‑end testing
  • Contribute to and maintain test automation frameworks (Playwright, Appium, Postman)
  • Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Confluence
  • Provide quality insights and advocate for exceptional user experiences
  • Influence testing strategy and support automation adoption
  • Get exposure to exciting projects, including battery management and SAP upgrades

You’ll bring:

  • Strong software testing fundamentals / ISTQB certification
  • Experience across functional and non‑functional testing
  • Proficiency in Playwright and JavaScript
  • Strong attention to detail and Agile experience

Bonus points for:

  • CI/CD and Git experience
  • SAP or trading domain knowledge
  • Exposure to RPA tools (UiPath, PowerApps)
