Test Automation Engineer (REF4937A)

TLDR

Drive the digitization of workforce management by developing automated UI tests and enhancing system performance for Deutsche Telekom's global business processes.

As a Experienced Test Engineer you will be part of our team that builds the next Generation of Workforce Management for the entire Deutsche Telekom Technology domain, with the goal to digitize and optimize existing field service processes.

We are replacing our legacy Workforce management system that orchestrated our work order flow. With Camunda we will transform complex business processes into seamless customer and employee experiences for our global businesses.
 

As a Senior or Experienced Test Engineer your main focus will be in the Testing domain, specifically:

  • Developing and maintaining automated UI tests using Serenity-JS, Playwright, Cucumber, and TypeScript.
  • Executing performance and load tests using JMeter or similar tools, including benchmarking of Camunda processes and workflow execution times.
  • Analyzing test and performance results, documenting defects, and driving the bug-fixing process with development teams.
  • Collaborating closely with DevOps Engineers to improve automation coverage, reliability, CI/CD integration, and environment stability.
  • Providing input on functional and non-functional requirements to influence product quality and system scalability.

Requirements

  • At least 4-5 years of experience of Test Engineering/Test Automation
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks, ideally including Serenity-JS, Playwright, Cucumber, and TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of testing complex UIs, including asynchronous operations, nested components, iframes, and multi-page workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools, preferably JMeter (load, stress, and endurance scenarios).
  • Strong communication Skills in English

Advantages

  • Experience with CI/CD (GitLab) pipelines and automated test execution in distributed environments. Kubernetes knowledge.
  • German language knowledge
