ZURU is looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives in the field and takes full ownership of outcomes. This is not a traditional sales role; it’s an opportunity for someone who is proactive, commercially hungry, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy. This role can be suited to graduates with an eagerness and ambition to kickstart in the wider sales team in ZURU. In this role, you will be at the heart of ZURU’s growth strategy, playing a critical role in expanding our presence across grocery stores in New Zealand, with a strong focus on Pak’nSave. You will spend most of your time in stores building strong relationships with managers, identifying and unlocking new opportunities, and driving distribution, visibility, and sales for ZURU products.   • Develop and maintain strong relationships with grocery store managers, buyers, and key decision-makers, with a particular focus on Pak’nSave locations.
  • Drive sales growth by presenting ZURU’s product range, negotiating shelf placement, and securing promotional opportunities in store.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective account management and execution in the field. Plan and optimise call cycles to maximise coverage, efficiency, and impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of store visits, sales activity, call cycles, and customer feedback, ensuring clear and consistent internal reporting back to the business.
Execution Excellence
  • Ensure ZURU products are prominently displayed and executed in line with agreed planograms and in-store standards.
  • Monitor stock levels in store, recommend reorders, and proactively prevent out-of-stock situations.
  • Maintain a high standard of in-store execution to maximise product visibility and sales performance.
Fast Start Program
  • Lead the execution of ZURU’s Fast Start Program, a high-visibility initiative where new products are tested locally before scaling globally.
  • Ensure strong in-store compliance and consistent execution across test locations.
  • Track variables that may impact test results (e.g., placement, competitor promotions, pricing or store conditions).
  • Collect and analyse performance data, translating insights into clear recommendations for the global team.\
Field Force Coordination
  • Act as the key liaison between the business and an external field force partner.
  • Identify priority stores and key opportunities to maximise in-store impact.
  • Ensure the field team has the right tools, materials, and one-pagers to execute effectively.
  • Translate business priorities into clear field execution plans and ensure consistent follow-through.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG or grocery sector.
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand grocery landscape, particularly Pak’nSave.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive “get things done” attitude.
  • Resilient, resourceful, and able to find creative solutions to drive results.
  • Valid New Zealand driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently.
