Job Details

Openly is looking for a Territory Manager, internal title is Agency Success Manager. To be considered for this role, candidates must be residing in Tennessee.  The Agency Success Manager drives profitable growth and best in class agent experiences by maximizing quote and bind activity, strengthening agency relationships, and proactively supporting retention efforts.

This role sits at the heart of the Openly distribution engine, partnering across Sales, Marketing, Agency Onboarding, Underwriting and Product to:
  • Accelerate adoption of the Openly Product
  • Increase production from appointed partners
  • Identify and recruit high-value agencies into our appointment pipeline
  • Ensure long-term retention of the business we write together

Key Responsibilities

Agency Growth & Engagement
  • Conduct high impact agency visits and virtual engagements to strengthen relationships and increase production and retention.
  • Develop and execute territory engagement strategies that drive quoting, binding, and profitable premium growth.
  • Identify high-quality prospective agencies and refer them to our appointment team for evaluation.

Sales Enablement & Support

  • Support appointed agencies through engagements, marketing resources, sales, coaching, and training to accelerate growth.
  • Help agency partners build integrated marketing and sales plans to grow their Openly book.

Retention & Profitability

  • Monitor book performance, renewal trends, and loss drivers to support strong retention and stable growth.
  • Proactively address underwriting questions, product concerns, or service trends by partnering cross-functionally.

Data-Driven Territory Management

  • Analyze territory production and pipeline trends to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Communicate findings with clarity and speed, ensuring internal partners understand market conditions and impacts.
  • Maintain accurate activity capture and account intelligence in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful sales performance with a track record of driving measurable results
  • 2+ years working for an insurance carrier or in the agency channel
  • Property & Casualty License preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Strong existing network within the territory preferred
  • Ability to travel in assigned territory up to 80% depending on business needs
  • Proven consultative, relationship-driven, and value-based selling approach
  • Ability to understand product knowledge quickly and simplify complex concepts for agency partners
  • High integrity, customer-centric mindset, and ability to trust rapidly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google products along with experience working with a CRM

Incentive Plans

  • In addition to base salary there are monthly and quarterly incentives plans up to an additional $45K annually.

Compensation & Benefits: 

The target salary range represents the budgeted salary range for this position.  Actual compensation for this position will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and skills. We are committed to providing a compensation package that not only reflects the responsibilities and requirements of the role, but also the unique expertise that the chosen candidate will bring to our team.

$69,840$82,935 USD

The full salary range shows the min to max salary range for this position.  Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and determined based on various factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

Full Salary Range
$65,470$109,125 USD

Depending on position, Employees generally are eligible for cash incentive compensation, including commissions for sales eligible roles. In all cases, eligibility for compensation and benefits is subject to applicable plan and policy terms in effect from time to time.
