At SumUp, we're on a mission to help small businesses thrive. From local cafés to independent retailers, we empower merchants with simple, affordable, and innovative payment solutions — including card readers, POS systems, and business tools used by over 4 million entrepreneurs worldwide.
We’re now expanding our Field Sales organisation across Southern France, and we’re looking for a hands-on Field Sales Team Lead to grow our presence in the region, coach a high-performing team, and fast-track into a Territory Manager role.
If you’re passionate about leading from the front, building strong sales teams, and growing local markets — this role is for you.
Lead and inspire:
Coach, train, and grow a team of full-time Field Sales Representatives (CDI), helping them exceed targets and advance in their careers.
Sell from the field:
Meet new merchants face-to-face, understand their needs, and sell SumUp’s POS and payment solutions directly in the market.
Shape our strategy:
Bring real insights from the field to help us refine our go-to-market approach, improve the customer journey, and test new ideas.
Grow our footprint:
Identify high-potential areas, spot market opportunities, and support expansion across the region.
Build a winning culture:
Create a collaborative, ambitious, and supportive environment where your team can thrive.
Has strong experience in field sales — ideally in POS, payments, fintech, telecom, or tech
Has previously managed a team of sales reps (CDI and Freelancers preferred)
Speaks French fluently and communicates confidently in English
Has a results-driven mindset and enjoys closing deals
Understands the local business landscape — or is ready to master it quickly
Brings a proactive, hands-on attitude and thrives in fast-paced environments

Experience in fintech, SaaS, POS, or merchant-facing technologies
Competitive salary + uncapped commissions
