Empowering Small Businesses, One Sale at a Time

At SumUp, we’re building a world where small businesses can thrive.
As a global fintech leader operating in 30+ countries, we provide over 4 million merchants with simple, affordable, and innovative payment solutions — from card readers and POS systems to business accounts and online stores.

To strengthen our footprint across Germany, we’re looking for a Territory Manager who will lead, grow, and inspire our network of self-employed Field Sales Consultants (FSCs) — helping small merchants adopt SumUp’s products and succeed in their business journey.

Your Mission

You’ll be the strategic link between our freelancers in the field and SumUp’s sales leadership — ensuring our consultants are motivated, high-performing, and delivering real impact.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow our national sales network: Recruit, manage, and support 20–30 self-employed Field Sales Consultants across Germany.

  • Drive hands-on sales success: Actively sell SumUp’s POS and payment products to local businesses, gaining direct market insights.

  • Coach and enable your team: Provide continuous training, performance reviews, and on-the-ground support to help FSCs hit targets.

  • Analyse and optimise performance: Monitor KPIs, analyse sales data, and design initiatives to increase acquisition and retention.

  • Shape the German strategy: Work closely with HQ to share local insights, design market initiatives, and scale our presence nationwide.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has proven experience in field sales, ideally in fintech, POS, merchant services, or telecom.

  • Has managed 10+ freelancers, consultants, or commission-based sales teams across different regions.

  • Is an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who thrives on ownership and impact.

  • Understands the needs of small business owners and how to build long-term customer relationships.

  • Brings strong analytical skills and confidence working with Salesforce, Tableau, or other CRM tools.

  • Is fluent in German and English.

We believe in rewarding results, empowering autonomy, and investing in your growth.
