Position: Accounting Assistant (Contract)

  1. Subledger Verification: Reconciles subsidiary ledgers (Accounts Receivable ) with customer statements and the corresponding control accounts in the GL to ensure accuracy.
  2. Transaction Cleanup: Investigates and resolves errors, missing deposits, outstanding checks, or unidentified transactions.
  3. Collections: Liaising with customers regarding overdue payments.
  4. Customer Queries: Managing and resolving customer queries, escalating where necessary for action.
  5. Compliance Check: Ensures all reconciliation activities comply with internal controls and accounting policies.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • ACCA Level or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • This is a contract position, so availability for a predetermined duration is required.
