About the role 

Technical Operations at Sobi is responsible for development, clinical and commercial manufacturing, control, and supply of Sobi’s products to patients. TechOps Product & Program Management leads the cross functional activities for the products, and has a wider accountability for governance, Operational Excellence, and sustainability. 

You will lead cross-functional TechOps teams, drive product strategy and roadmaps, and ensure that both short- and long-term supply needs are met in a compliant, cost-efficient, and reliable way. 

This position is based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden or Global hub in Basel, Switzerland, reporting directly to VP Head of Tech Ops Product and Program management. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Lead the cross functional, end to end TechOps Product teams, with focus in the tactical and strategical space. 

  • Represent TechOps on the company wide Core Asset team. Influencing and delivering to the Brand strategy and Integrated Product Plan. 

  • Lead the development and delivery of the TechOps product strategy/roadmap and yearly objectives, together with the wider TechOps product team. 

  • Initiate and sponsor LCM projects such as Technology transfers and Process development projects and launches, in line with the product strategy. 

  • Present SC status or Business Case for endorsement to Sobi Executive Committee 

  • Provide product intelligence as input to Sourcing projects and negotiation plans for supply agreements 

  • Ensure Optimisation of E2E product SPC/COGS, including clear Long-Range plan 

  • Create strategic product budget, and ensure clarity of resource needs with resource owners 

  • Generate, review, or approve risk assessments for product Supply Chain and ongoing projects or changes 

  • Drive resolution of major issues impacting more than one supply node or commercial supply and project(s), including stakeholder communication. 

  • Serve as alliance manager regarding CMC development, mfg and supply with Sobi partner if applicable 

  • Support TechOps Due Diligence activities as applicable 

  • Serve as Global Process Owner as applicable 

  • Contribute to developing TechOps Product & Program management team and ways of working. 

About you 

You’re a seasoned leader in pharmaceutical operations, equally comfortable shaping long-term strategies as you are resolving complex supply chain challenges. You thrive in cross-functional environments, navigating between science, supply, and strategy, and you know how to create clarity in complex situations. 

 

Key Qualifications 

  • University degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, or another relevant scientific field 

  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (drug substance/product manufacturing, supply chain, and/or CMC development) 

  • 8+ years in leadership roles, including project management 

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP manufacturing (biologics and/or small molecules) and regulatory standards 

  • An excellent communicator and leader, able to inspire and align diverse teams 

  • Agile and flexible, moving seamlessly between strategic and operational topics 

  • Skilled at creating clarity in complex, global environments 

  • Solution-oriented, driving progress even in challenging circumstances 

  • Excellent communication skills in English, able to engage across functions and seniority levels
