We are looking for a TechnologyProgram Manager to join our Product and Engineering Team at HeadLight! The ideal candidate brings energy, attention to detail, and is motivated by the opportunities for ownership and collaboration in a startup environment. You will directly contribute to ensuring timely delivery of our team commitments and goals.

HeadLight, founded in 2005, delivers industry-leading technology to transportation construction teams. Our photo-driven inspection and verification technology enables clients to streamline and mobilize project inspections, communications, and documentation leading to superior project deliveries. The HeadLight platform has been used on transportation construction projects nationwide. Customers include large departments of transportation, top-tier consulting engineering firms, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and industry-related materials companies.

Job Description

As a Technology Program Manager at HeadLight, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing processes, identifying and communicating risks, and reporting on progress and sprint outcomes. You will define and plan customer milestones and partner with the engineering team to deliver in accordance with project timelines. You will collaborate with project, program, and product management to plan and synchronize multiple product workstreams while managing changing priorities, focusing the team on the development and deployment of quality solutions.


What You Will Get To Do

  • Manage the process, execution, and delivery of sprint goals and customer milestones across multiple projects
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming)
  • Identify and capture engineering work items for later refinement, prioritization, and management through the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Partner with Engineering Leadership and program management to identify opportunities for process improvements and roll out process changes to the team
  • Build relationships with engineers, program/product managers, test engineers, engineering leadership, and cross-team stakeholders
  • Organize, document, and communicate software release details to the company
  • Coordinate customer support ticket intake and triage


Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience as a practicing project/program manager, working with software engineering teams
  • Thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and ceremonies
  • Ability to identify dependencies and anticipate needs of the team, and a proactive approach in managing those dependencies/needs
  • Adaptability when faced with changing priorities and customer requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication to distill complex technical discussions into clear, concise issues and action items
  • Continuous Improvement & growth mindset with an emphasis on accountability
  • Experience with Jira/Atlassian products preferred
  • Scrum certification preferred

The salary range for the Technology Program Manager is $90,000-$120,000. Exact compensation will be based or adjusted on skills, experience and location. We will provide more information on our benefits and stock options upon requests.
