Technology & Maintenance Manager

As a Technology & Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead the charge in optimizing plant performance and reliability. This pivotal role blends technical innovation with hands-on maintenance leadership to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our Zaandam site.

Your key responsibilities will be: 

• Lead, coach, and develop the Technology and Maintenance teams, 

• Provide operational, technical, and customer support for process and product-related issues, 

• Develop and maintain CAPEX and maintenance plans, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution, 

• Monitor progress and budget for all investment projects and maintenance activities, 

• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs and work order systems, 

• Manage supplier and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, 

• Actively participate in budgeting and forecasting for capital and maintenance of expenditures, 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safety, reliability, and efficiency. 

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Process Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical discipline. 

• 5–8 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, 

• 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, 

• Knowledge of Process Safety, ATEX, and engineering standards (e.g., NEN 1010, NEN 3140), 

• Proven experience managing CAPEX projects and maintenance programs, 

• Experience in change management is an advantage, 

• Hands-on mentality and team-oriented approach, 

• Knowledge of reliability-oriented maintenance and engineering standards, 

• Strong understanding of Process Safety Management and environmental awareness, 

• Full proficiency in Dutch or South African and English.
