Our studio, part of the Keywords Studios Group, works on multiple exciting projects at any one time offering plenty of variety and involvement. Our studio projects have included: EA Sports FC 24 + 25, Hogwart’s Legacy, Vampire: The Masquerade - Blood Hunt, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Alan Wake Remastered and Mafia II: Definitive Edition.

This opportunity is for a fixed-term contract of 9 Months and can be offered as remote, studio based or hybrid working. The role will be due to start in January 2026.

Role + Responsibilities:

As a Technical UI Designer you will create UI content for the game, partnering with game designers, programmers and artists to develop features in the game using the Frostbite engine.

·       Work with the team to structure, plan, estimate, and implement features that align with the game's goals, accessibility, and technical standards.

·       Work with engineers, scripters, UX designers, and UI artists to implement UI features such as 2D and 3D layouts, menu logical flows, animations, AR, HUDs, and more.

·       Use visual programming language to implement UI logic.

·       Improve implementation based on feedback, design requirements, art, and creative direction.

·       Report to technical directors and project managers.

·       Have a collaborative and inclusive attitude.

Requirements

Skills + Experience Required:

·       3+ years of professional game development experience working with game engines.

·       Frostbite Experience preferred but a similar experience in UE5 is also workable with training provided on Frostbite.

·       Implemented UI screens, widgets, logic, and data flows in collaboration with other game disciplines.

·       Experience in rapid prototyping to test the feasibility of concepts, taking an idea from start to finish with full ownership.

·       Experience polishing features to AAA quality and maintaining them throughout the production cycle, promoting best practices.

·       Experience with other UI systems such as Unity UI, Unreal UI, ImGui, WPF, or Qt would be a bonus.

We offer a flexible working hours policy – this role can be hybrid, remote (UK based only) or studio based at either of our studio sites - d3t (Runcorn, Cheshire or Gateshead, Tyne & Wear).
