Technical Specialist - Santiago, Chile 

InterSystems has been active in Chile since 2007, and our TrakCare HIS solution is pivotal in changing the way healthcare is delivered in Chile and LATAM. Our TrakCare HIS solution is key to enabling better patient care, enabling efficiency, and reducing costs. It collects, processes, and stores clinical and administrative data.  

In 2026, our InterSystems Chile Office operation will continue to grow, with customers from the private sector in Chile and LATAM. We are currently hiring Technical Specialists who will be based out of our Santiago office but who are willing and prepared to travel to where many of our current and prospective customers are based. 

The Technical Specialist will be responsible for site-specific software development activities and will ensure that the software satisfies project specifications and is delivered and deployed in accordance with project requirements. 

The Technical Specialist must be available to visit client sites (e.g., hospitals/laboratories) and implementation partners for technical support and/or to provide technical training. International travel may be required. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Liaise with clients or business analysts regarding ongoing enhancement requests 
  • Liaise with clients or business analysts on any requests for new or modified reports 
  • Advise and assist Project Managers during implementation 
  • Manage the resolution of any outstanding acceptance issues before and after the project goes live 
  • Develop and provide technical support for software customizations such as JavaScript, interfaces, reports, extracts, data migration, upgrades, and conversions 
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and performance analysis for related areas 
  • Support and testing of all InterSystems-related utilities, such as patching tools, version control tools, data migration tools, and print services 
  • Production of technical documentation such as reference materials, installation instructions, user guides, knowledge-base articles, and specifications 
  • Responsible for participating in on-site technical implementations 
  • Responsible for participating in the 24-hour extended support period 

Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of experience 
  • Knowledge of web-oriented languages, including JavaScript and HTML 
  • Knowledge of programming languages – like Java, C++, PHP or Python 
  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, data analysis, and database methodologies 
  • Well-versed in Internet / Intranet concepts 
  • Experience in the integration of health information systems. Ideally, HL7 / FHIR framework experience 
  • Ability to design and write technical documents 
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver results as required within specific time frames 
  • Experienced in client-focused interaction 
  • Good presentation and communication skills 
  • Ability to conduct training and develop training materials 
  • Ability to work within a team in a multi-cultural environment and also independently with little supervision 
  • Available for work outside of office hours and willingness to travel 
  • Passion for learning new technologies and applications 

Education & Training: 

  • University degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Experience with InterSystems technology and healthcare systems is highly desirable
