Be the key driver of Arlo's high-volume sourcing efforts, directly influencing how we build a world-class engineering team through innovative outreach and strategic collaboration.
Arlo is rebuilding health insurance from the ground up using AI. The healthcare experience today is expensive, confusing, and often so frustrating that people delay the care they need. We’re changing that by reimagining what a health plan should be: a proactive partner that enables health rather than denying it. Our AI-native platform delivers continuous, personalized support for members—helping them navigate benefits, schedule appointments, access high-quality care, and avoid financial fear. Powered by the industry’s most advanced risk-pricing engine, Arlo is already scaling fast: we’ve grown to $XXXM in premiums, cover tens of thousands of people, and see accelerating demand across brokers, employers, and partners. Backed by Upfront Ventures, 8VC, and General Catalyst, our team combines deep industry expertise (Palantir, YC) with the ambition to modernize a $1T market.
About the Role
We're hiring our first Technical Sourcer to help build a world-class engineering and technical team. You'll own the very top of our hiring funnel—finding and engaging a primarily passive pipeline of engineering talent.
Reporting directly to our Talent Lead, you'll be the engine behind our pipeline. This role is high-volume by design: you'll run large outreach campaigns across multiple roles simultaneously and continuously optimize for response rates and quality.
What You'll Do
High-Volume Pipeline Building:
Proactively identify and engage large volumes of passive technical talent. You'll source Software Engineers and AI/ML specialists using modern recruiting tools (Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.) and creative search strategies.
Outbound Outreach at Scale:
Build, run, and iterate on high-volume, personalized outreach sequences that reflect Arlo's mission and voice. You're comfortable sending hundreds of touchpoints per week without sacrificing quality.
Top-of-Funnel Management:
Own candidate tracking from first touch through handoff to the recruiter, maintaining clean, up-to-date records in Ashby (our ATS).
Market Research:
Map the talent landscape for priority technical roles, identifying target companies, communities, and talent pools.
Collaboration:
Partner closely with the Talent Lead and hiring managers to understand role requirements and continuously refine your sourcing strategy based on feedback.
Metrics & Iteration:
Track outreach performance (response rates, conversion rates) and regularly optimize your approach—you treat sourcing like a growth channel and are constantly testing and improving.
What We're Looking For
1–4 years of sourcing or recruiting experience, with a focus on technical roles (engineering, product, data)
Proven experience running high-volume outreach
Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, Ashby, and Notion
A knack for writing outreach that feels human and resonates with candidates
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong pipeline hygiene and follow-up practices
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where priorities shift quickly
Bachelor's degree required
Bonus Points
Experience sourcing for health tech, fintech, or AI-focused companies
Experience in an agency setting
Experience with Clay or similar data enrichment/automation tools for sourcing workflows
Enthusiasm for experimenting with LLM tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) to improve and accelerate your work
Expected Compensation
$65,000–$105,000, depending on experience
High ownership: You’ll get real responsibility from day one—our high-trust team empowers you to run with big problems and shape core parts of the company.
Join an important mission: Your work directly influences how people access care and improves lives at scale.
Growth & expansion: We’re moving fast, and as we grow, your scope will grow with us—new challenges, bigger opportunities, and rapid career velocity.
Apply AI to a problem that matters: Instead of optimizing ads or cutting labor costs, you’ll use AI to fundamentally reimagine how people get healthcare.
High pace, high collaboration: We operate with velocity, first-principles thinking, and a team that works closely, openly, and with ambition.
Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
