As a Technical Services Consultant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing success by delivering high-quality and timely technical implementation support and services that enable Public Financial Management (PFM) reform initiatives for governments around the world.
During the implementation of the FreeBalance Accountability Suite, you will leverage your technical expertise in ERP implementation to design, develop, implement, test, and deploy the FreeBalance Government Resource Planning (GRP) solution. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across banks, other government agencies, and financial institutions to design and implement data exchange mechanisms and integrations between systems.
In this role, you will also serve as a Technical Solution Consultant to the in-country project teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices. Additionally, you will work closely with the Sales and Pre-Sales Teams to provide technical insights for existing and prospective customer projects, assist in preparing responses to RFPs, and act as a subject matter expert during technical analysis and specification phases.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and maintenance for the FreeBalance GRP application environment, ensuring system stability and performance.
Monitor system performance and analyze system logs to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Support data migrations and ETL processes, including extraction, transformation, validation, and loading as part of implementation and post-implementation support activities.
Support system integrations and web service configurations between FreeBalance GRP and third-party systems using SOAP and REST standards.
Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot reports and dashboards to support operational reporting, analytics, and business insights, working with data structures such as cubes, dimensions, and fact tables.
Develop and optimize SQL queries (ANSI SQL / T-SQL) to support reporting, data validation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
Assist in the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of application servers such as Apache Tomcat.
Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and user support to client teams and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives to support system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing operational support.
Document technical configurations, solutions, and support procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
English proficiency other than the native language is required; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong hands-on technical experience supporting or implementing ERP systems.
Practical experience with data migrations, ETL processes, and system integrations with third-party applications using SOAP/REST APIs.
Experience in report development and dashboard creation, including BI tools such as BIRT, Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Pentaho, or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of ANSI SQL, T-SQL, SQL scripting, and query optimization.
Practical understanding of data modeling concepts, including cubes, dimensions, and fact tables.
Experience with application servers such as Apache Tomcat, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, is a plus.
Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Knowledge in basic database administration and performance troubleshooting.
Experience with cloud environments (especially AWS) is a plus.
Experience in ERP environments, particularly in public sector or government projects, is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience, including technical consulting, implementation, or ERP support.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and government clients.
Willingness to travel internationally for project delivery and customer support.
