As a Technical Services Consultant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our on-going success by delivering quality and timely technical implementation support and services for on-going Public Financial Management reform for countries around the world. During the implementation of our FreeBalance Accountability Suite with our customers you will draw upon your technical expertise of implementation of ERP solutions to design, develop, implement, test and deploy the FreeBalance Government Resource Planning solution. You will also work with multiple stakeholders within the government ministries and agencies including the central bank to build interfaces for data exchanges and server as a Technical advisor to the In Country Project Team. You will work with the existing Sales and Pre-Sales Teams by providing technical solutions to existing customer projects and assist with preparing responses to RFPs, and serve as a subject matter expert for technical analysis and specification efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
Design complete suite of Technical architecture using the FreeBalance Government Resource Planning Suite for Implementation of Public Financial Reform projects;
Design networks with the appropriate levels of security to enable end user access to the FreeBalance Accountability Suite;
Deploy both Hardware and Network products for Government Data Centres;
Understand proposed solution and provide technical expertise in executing same using tools and techniques that are open source based;
Perform performance, load, and stress using open source tools during deployment of FreeBalance Accountability Suite;
Analyze business requirements and develop technical requirement specifications;
Learn and understand clients’ current technical environment and recommend possible modifications to ensure optimum integration with the FreeBalance;
Act as primary technical contact for the client during deployment and post-implementation;
Complete technical product installations and upgrades, including database and software installs and system tuning;
Collaboratively develop and deliver technical training to clients;
Other duties as assigned;
Travel as required.
Qualifications:
University graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems / Software Engineering or other computing technology related programs
3 years of experience as an Infrastructure Architect.
Expert level of knowledge and proven experience, in complex, scalable, web-based software application solutions.
3 years of hands-on experience in IT, with knowledge of network design / management, and system administration including distributed Operating Systems (Linux and Windows Server), servers, storage, database management and operations.
2+ years of experience and a proven ability to write ANSI SQL scripts, a solid understanding of Relational Database Theory and knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc. including experience with setting up Grid Solutions and Clustering of these RDBMSs.
2 + years of experience and a solid understanding of the Java Platform and its related technologies, including JSE and JEE Application and Web Servers such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, etc.
2+ years of experience using Java based development tools such as Eclipse, and related technologies such as Maven, Spring, Hibernate, AMQ, etc.
3+ years of development experience with Jaspersoft iReports / Crystal Reports tools, for building custom reports based on the FreeBalance data model.
Experience with development tools & utilities to provide interfaces to resolve customer issues, such as Mantis, Bugzilla, etc.
Experience with enterprise ERP product architectures would be considered an asset.
Previous experience in the public sector would be considered an asset.
Demonstrable experience working with customers, resulting in positive and ongoing relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills in English and Dutch. Other languages considered an asset
