We are working with a well established reputable family run business who supply Waterproofing systems and Flat roofing to contractors across the UK. They have a brand new role available for a Technical Sales Representative to join their growing team.
This is a field based role, and you can be based anywhere in the UK. Dependant on the area in which you live, will be the area that you manage.

As Technical Sales Representative you will help drive sales in the flat roofing industry through technical knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in flat roofing systems and be able to effectively communicate technical solutions to clients. This role involves working closely with contractors, architects, and project managers to recommend and sell flat roofing products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop relationships with roofing contractors, builders, architects, and property managers.
  • Provide technical guidance and product recommendations based on customer needs and project specifications.
  • Conduct on‐site inspections and assessments to ensure proper application of roofing products.
  • Deliver product presentations, training sessions, and demonstrations to clients and distributors.
  • Prepare and present proposals, cost estimates, and bids.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, new technologies, and competitor products.
  • Work closely with the technical and support teams to resolve customer concerns.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to generate leads.

Requirements

  • Experience in roofing, construction materials, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems.
  • Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem‐solving skills and a customer‐focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and estimating tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites and client meetings.
  • Experience working with roofing manufacturers, contractors, or suppliers.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to roofing.
